Sleeping relatively earlier last night, I planned to wake up at 4:00 AM to catch the first televised BPL match between two irrelevant teams in the race of top four and bottom three. However, I couldn't do it because of being too sleepy to watch. I caught the highlights in the regular show after all televised matches around 11:00 AM. Swansea won over Liverpool comfortably.
Coming down to the living room, I watched the full match Leicester challenging Manchester United at Old Trafford. At the beginning, Young French talent, Martial, scored an easy goal on the left and Hosts pressured the visitors dominantly. Late in first half, Leicester player made a beautiful header by catching the ball from a free kick to equalize the match. In second half, players from Manchester United slowed down a lot, I guess they didn't want to spoil Leicester's chance to win the first top-flight crown. Had they won the match this morning, they would have won the championship. Now, they have to wait for the result of the match between Tottenham and Chelsea tomorrow. No matter what, Leicester can write its fairy tale by winning Everton next weekend, which shouldn't be very difficult.
Coming back to my bedroom, I planned to watch the full match of Southampton taking Manchester City but fell into sleep from time to time. The former beat the latter at the end. I guess the latter was focusing on the semi-final of UEFA Championship League Cup to be held the coming Tuesday.
My parents cooked Chinese Dumplings for the lunch, I ate a full plate with a bottle of Beck's. I wore the T-shirt bought in Waikiki and my Mom asked me what Shaka Sign painted on the back of the shirt meant.
It's MLS Super Sunday, I started watching the first televised one on ESPN. Timbers beat Toronto 2 to 1. Johnson joined Toronto after three years successful career at Timbers. I don't know how he felt at this match.
Mariners were behind Royals 0 to 3 when I switched to find out how they were doing. I would learn later that they weren't able to sweep. Going to gym to work out, I bet I would have pretty good numbers tomorrow morning. Let's see. I was totally sweaty on the bike.
Coming back home, I started watching the second televised MLS match on Fox, it was Sporting Kansas City hosting LA Galaxy. The Duo sang National Anthem beautifully, which impressed me very much.
Davis scored a marvelous curling ball with his left foot first, it could be rated "Goal of the Week" in any top-flight league matches in Europe. Santos equalized the match with a wonderful chipped goal. Of course, I don't root any teams other than Sounders but enjoyed watching these two skillful shots. Searching on Youtube, I wasn't able to find any clips of this match.
While watching the second half, I grilled the Italian Sausages left from yesterday and had salmon heated up. With the bean congee my Mom cooked, I had another tasty barbeque dinner to close the weekend.
Reading news online, I just realized that protests were made in several cities including Seattle, which actually went violent at the end. May 1st is International Worker's Day initiated by Americans in Chicago but designated and celebrated by Socialists and Communists. While the Capitalism is being questioned, we never know if it will become significant in future in US. Traditional May Day is for celebrating sunny and warm Spring. Again, before summer comes, I would like to have one or two cloudy days with the drizzles every week as long as they don't fall in weekends. While May Day celebrations in Communistic Countries are more government-orchestrated and May Day Protests in Capitalistic Countries are more chaotic, Parade in a real model of Socialism may be an example.
I wasn't able to publish my Declaration No. 2 for my Presidential Campaign but will definitely do it next week. Ok, I plan to arrive at the office no later than 6:30 AM tomorrow, so will go to the bed in the next several minutes. Anyway, I may catch a movie before falling into sleep.
