Patrick's Diary - 9/7/2015

I just called the number of Hertz Sweden to find out why I got a pending charge of $153.08 yesterday, a lady named Charlotte was pretty nice and patient to check the records for me but she had to wait for me to send her the credit card statement because she wasn't able to verify the charges at her side. I haven't received the receipt from them through e-mail as I was promised by the girl at the drop off station on 7/20. Charlotte said they didn't get my e-mail address correctly. However, I told her that I would call her to follow up the same time tomorrow though it's already 0:30 in the morning. Time zones' difference always makes things more complex. As I shared before, I really enjoy driving through Sweden in Volvo XC60 rented at Hertz Arlanda, as the young man at the counter said to me when I went through the rental process on 7/4, I should try XC90 next time. I think I posted the following clip I filmed in the parking garage across the street of Scandic Klara close to Kungsgatan before, maybe on my facebook page instead of in this blog, you can tell how sweet that car is:
I didn't write my diary for Labor Day because I was too tired at the end of Monday, maybe because of working out too long or watching games too dedicately. Let me wrap it up now, oh, it's 1:33am on Wednesday, already two days later.

Getting down to living room in the morning on Labor Day, I kept watching two EuroCup 2016 Qualifiers in row: Danish didn't win the match in Armenia, they even could have lost to Armenians because the hosts created more scoring opportunities. In the following match, Germans performed very well but Scottish were pretty competitive too. They actually tied the match twice.
Eventually, Germany won the match. The winning goal was a perfect teamwork in Scotland's 18 yards box.
Before going to gym to workout, I stopped by Jiffy Lube to have oil changed. It's such a surprise that they did it so quickly. The service adviser was very knowledgeable and professional. I received a survey request through e-mail and just filled it out.
On my way back home from gym, I enjoyed the sunny sky and warm breeze. However, many of us would have to go to work the following day.
I wasn't very hungry, so just wanted to eat a small meal. I had been thinking to use our grill to make barbeque and it's the best time for me to test it, I hadn't used it this summer because we had spent almost a month in Northern Europe in July and went to soccer matches during the weekends in August. Frying the eggs on burner while watching fans singing "God Bless America" in the Mariners' game on TV, I felt finally coming back to normal life as an American.
The grill worked pretty well, though the electronic ignition was broken from Day 1 when I bought it. We would have a real barbeque lunch or dinner next weekend. Yes, I would go to buy Steaks, Patties and Salmon.
Coming back to living room, I started watching the 2nd half of Ohio State challenging Virginia Tech to wrap up Labor Day long weekend. After briefly being behind Hokies, Buckeyes started dominating the game.
Their Quarterback kept throwing the ball to have the wide receivers making touchdowns. Ohio State seemed to have another bright season possibly keeping No.1 rank into the college football playoff because as I heard, their schedules are not very difficult. However, Virginia Tech's QB threw into the traffic to have their wideout making a touchdown towards the end of the game. It's a very beautiful throw.

Ok, it's already 2:20am now, I need to go back sleep for another 4 hours. During weekdays, I don't have much to write unless making comments on something out of daily activities, so I will wrap up my diary for Tuesday tonight after coming back from work.
