Patrick's Diary - 9/5/2015

It's a busy Saturday because of the routine of groceries purchasing. I dropped my parents at Ranch 99, then drove to Costco with my son sitting at the back. I hadn't pumped gas at Costco's discounted station for a long time, but my car happened to run out of the gas, so drove into the station after shopping the groceries at the store. A co-worker who worked with me in the same office a year ago pulled his car into the slot right in front of mine, I didn't realize who he was because he wore a pair of sunglasses and we hadn't talked for quite a long time, plus, I didn't recognize his car. After he confirmed it was me and came over to chat, we had a pleasant conversation.

My mom doesn't digest BBQ very well, so we hadn't gone to Korean BBQ restaurants for almost half a year. My son really wanted to eat it, so we stopped by Sura in Lynnwood where we used to have lunch once every other month. It's as delicious as always be.
While in the restaurant, my neighbor Joanne texted me to mention if I don't mind that she let someone clean both of our roofs after the windstorm last weekend. Of course not, our houses are actually separated by independent walls and fence, but there is a five feet linkage between the two small storages inside the garages, so technically, it is a duplex. Two of us form a home-owner association.

There were several college football games on various channels but I fell into sleep after coming back home from the lunch. The focus on this Saturday for me would be Sounders taking Toronto FC at 7:00pm.

Since my son preferred having prints of all photos of our trip in July, I sent in an order through Wal-Mart website, and drove the nearest store on 164th street to pick up around 5:30pm before I bought cat food for our little sunshine at Safeway. I took almost all photos of total of 172 for my son, they piled a thick stack on my lap when I sat in my car to review. The photos covered my son's image from Uppsala to Tilborg.
Yep, I only found one print actually for myself, it was snapped at Skansen Open Air Museum and Zoo the day before we flew back.
Coming back home, I felt a bit hungry, Eating pieces of bread and drinking soy milk, I cruised channels to briefly learn the college football games on different channels: Bama vs. Wisconsin; Eastern Washington at Oregon; Texas at Notre Dame. In the morning, Northwestern upset Stanford, which was a big surprise.
Sounders didn't disappoint fans in the drizzle. Dempsey showed his value after not having played with the team for a long time. He assisted Martins to score the first goal in the first half with a timely accurate overhead chip and scored the winning goal in the second half after Martins made the opportunity. The 3rd designated player, Valdez present his working ethics very well after being subbed in the last 20 minutes, he ran back and forth all the time, even saved a strike by Toronto's player inside Sounder's big box.
Glancing USC hosting Arkansa State for a minute, I ended up my Saturday with "College Football Final" on ESPN.
