Patrick's Diary - 6/14/2015

Getting up to eat three pieces of bread my mom bought at Ranch 99 Chinese Supermarket yesterday, I went back to sleep until almost noon.

After lunch, I cleaned up the stuff my son brought back from his dorm and got ready to go to gym.

Again, I did extra today but only ran half a mile on treadmill, most of the time I only walked because I felt a bit tired, wasn't sure if my heart was able to adapt to higher speed.
Driving back home, I hesitated if I should mow the lawn this weekend or not, but eventually did it. It's not a hard job for me with semi-automatic lawn-mower. Dennis cut the edge of lawn in front of our house pretty neatly with his tool on Friday. My neighbor on the right, Joana, always kindly offered me to dump the grasses into her yard waste can. Oh, since we have a very small yard, I don't order yard waste can from Waste Management.
When I wrapped up the yard work, Dennis just came back home and made the joke to me:"Our hardworking neighbor works hard."

I responded: "Not on yard."

He said: "You are smart."

I made comment: "Not am I smart but this was the last house left when I bought, so no choice."

Anyway, the fact is I don't need to do much yard work and my neighbors help me a lot.
Before dinner, I started writing Day Nine of Sometime in Scandinavia. After dinner, I suddenly felt sleepy, so had been in dream until half an hour ago. Keep writing it in the last 30 minutes, I figured that I wouldn't be able to finish it by the time I would have to sleep again. I need to go to work early tomorrow morning and in Day Nine, I plan to recall a scene by Oslofjord close to Asker in 1992 and imagine a decent dinner at a upscale restaurant in 2013, then end up with the night at Opera House. Hopefully I can write two sonnets to catch up in the episode, one is by Oslofjord, another is at Opera House. So this will require more time to write. I will leave it to next week, I may write part of it every night and wrap up on Wednesday night.

Probably because he has finished the quarter, my son becomes interested in our trip next month. He has asked me about Scandinavia several times in the last two days and seemed doing a lot of researches about Sweden online. I encouraged him to learn about the peninsula more profoundly and even hope that he can select Swedish 101 to 103 in the following quarters. I would like him to get a Master degree in Stockholm if he will get a BS in Economics at University of Washington in 2018.

I will resume my hotel booking from tomorrow because my credit card billing cycle ended today, Let me pull a Swedish song to wrap up the night. Actually, searching on Swedish Charts for this week, I found this Dane and pulled her song of "Jalousi", which impressed me very much, ok, let me use this Danish pop to wrap up:
