The last thing of today is probably to write diary, as I said, hopefully I can commit to it.
As I shared through my tweet this morning, I was about to take shower, my son called me to tell that he had got up at 4 am to wait for Autumn Quarter Class Selection to be accessible online. He successfully nailed three classes he planned to take in his first quarter of sophomore year: Math 125; ECON 300 and Drama 251. The first one is one of the required courses for applying BS in Economics; Second is one of the two required economic courses to qualify for Study Abroad if he is accepted into BS in ECON Program; Third is his hobby. I am glad he is on right track.
Leaving home for work, I didn't encounter much traffic this morning because it was Friday and more people than usual might take day off for Memorial Long Weekend.
After work, I was on my way to University of Washington to pick up my son at his dorm. On 405 northbound, the traffic was a bit congested because of an accident as I remembered. After turning onto I-90 West, it wasn't improved much, especially while getting through the tunnel and bridge. However, it was a bit surprise the traffic became pretty loose after I switched onto I-5 North, especially at UW exit, I didn't even put my foot on the brake.
While waiting for my son to get down, I saw cars coming by to pick up the students by their family members. I was sure most of local kids to go home for Memorial Long Weekend.
My son was pretty happy with the selection of Drama 251, which was intro class of acting. He seemed to learn the principles of Stanislavsky through this class. He joked if he did great in it, he would go to Hollywood. I did encourage him if his talents in acting would be found, he might think about pursuing a different path of his career. However, we both knew acting career wasn't for most of the people, so his primary goal was to get accepted into BS in Economics program in 2016. I actually told him if he was interested, he might get a minor in Drama.
I was a bit headache today, so slept quite a while before dinner. At gym, I didn't complete the routine and decided to go home earlier. While turning left at the intersection of Thrashers' Corner, I suddenly realized that I had been living in this area for 15 years: Living in a very nice neighborhood for 5 years, then moving down to Southern California for almost a year, eventually coming back to live here since then.
Yes, this is really my home.
