The first day I drove my van to work on crowded I-405 after it was fixed by Dennis, it worked pretty well. As planned, I went to the salon I had almost always gone to get my hair cut. I had to wait for half an hour before the lady could work on my long hair. Men's hair was easier to take care anyway, it didn't take her too long and my hair became short again. As a result, I felt pretty comfortable as if heavy weight was unloaded from my head. I told her that I would come back in three months.
When I got off the car, Dennis shouted to me from his driveway to check if the car worked well. He was satisfied after I answered his question.
I hesitated for a little bit after dinner if I should go to gym to work out. Eventually, I decided to stay in bed to take a snap first. However, when I woke up, it's already 10pm. I planned to start reading Chapter II of The Rise and Fall of American Growth but still felt a bit sleepy and then fell into sleep again. After several hours, I woke up again and noticed it was already 2am. However, I felt energetic and turned the book onto Chapter II. In general, this book was easy to follow because it was more like a comprehensive report published by government agencies or academic institutions. However, I did want to digest or even memorize all the data provided in the chapter, so sometimes, I repeated reading the same paragraph two or even three times. Yes, there were a lot of numbers given by the author. As I shared when I bought it, it's a very useful reference if you need all the information of US economic history.
I read through half of the chapter by 3:00am, then fell into sleep the third time...
