Patrick's Diary - 1/7/2016

Markets crashed again today dragged by Chinese. It becomes new norm. I read the comments made by my college buddies in our Civil Engineering Class 84-2 group at CUMT on WeChat to learn that Chinese version of SEC changed the rule of circuit breaker, or markets would have been halted again. One of my college buddies complained that Chinese government agency didn't stick to its principle to mess up his trading strategy. It's such a joke in front of the world. Another buddy use another Chinese word with same pronunciation in Chinese to replace one of the words in the name of Chinese SEC: 奸replaces监, then Chinese Securities Regulatory Committee becomes Chinese Securities Conspiracy (Evil) Committee - 中国证监会becomes中国证奸会.Chinese like making fun of their government. By the way, the reason I started paying attentions to my buddies' comments was an US follower on Twitter had asked me about Chinese Markets the night before the last because I tweeted to him before that I was born and raised in Beijing.
I wrapped up my diary before leaving home for a lab test for my doctor's appointment on Friday. After the test, I drove onto I-5 South to go to work. It took me an hour to arrive at office, which was normal, might be even quicker. However, I moved back to the office building where I had worked half a year ago. It saved me a little bit more time, though the two locations are only 5 minutes away.

I didn't go to gym and don't plan to read Chapter 2 of Economics Rules tonight, actually, it's already 0:27 in the morning on Friday. It may be another 300+ points drop in the markets at the end of the day, I love it. It's a new norm to have New Year celebrated, oh, yeah, including the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year.
