It's a long day for me, I stayed at work for almost 12 hours. My van scared me for a second when I started the engine. Anyway, I was able to drive on my way home eventually. My dad had called me to ask when I was going to go back home for dinner, I told him not to prepare. Stopping at 7-11, I grabbed a Italian Melt Sandwich and a Bud Light. Super Tuesday seemed getting Clinton and Trump victories, though the votes in Missouri were too close to call for both parties. I fell into sleep pretty early but woke up at 2:30 am. Missouri was still too close to call. Rubio was classic when he congratulated Trump winning his home State. From his smile, I could tell his future promising political career.
The markets didn't perform very well and my GTZ portfolio dropped 7%. It would be another busy day on Wednesday...
The windstorm caused some problems around our neighborhood. The traffic lights at the intersection of North Road and Filbert flashed red only this morning, so it became a four-way stop. Even worse, a cop car blocked the half of the road on Filbert, presumably trees might be knocked down to the ground. I decided to take a U-turn to go through Kenmore and Kirkland to get onto I-405 at the entrance close to 126th Street.
Since my van failed me a couple of weeks ago, which caused me much trouble, any abnormal incident scared me. Getting onto the driver's seat, I wasn't able to start the engine twice. Waiting for half a minute, I was lucky to make it. Is the battery dying again? Does the starter become weak? I was speculating on my mind while driving out of the parking lot.
Approaching the intersection close to home, I was stuck in the traffic for more than 10 minutes. The traffic lights were still not fixed.
Dennis was in his backyard when I arrived at home and came through his garage to look for him. He came over to test the battery with the meter but didn't see any issue. However, I would have to be very cautious.
After dinner, I watched CNN for quite a while and started replacing all three set boxes with the new ones. They worked very well. Glancing a commercial made by a Kia dealer in Seattle Area, I was triggered to consider to buy a car from them. It sounded a new car under 10,000 dollars and monthly payment would be under 100 bucks if it's financed. I just found this clip on Youtube and recalled Soul being the model I glanced in that commercial. However, the dealership might be a different one.

I missed Trump's interview on CNN's State of The Union at 5:00 am but caught Sanders', Rubio's and Kasich's. Everyone of them attacked Trump but it's so difficult to stop him. Republicans are really frustrated now. Romney would announce later today to join Kasich tomorrow for his campaign of Winner-Take-All Ohio Primary. Super Tuesday may decide if Trump can avoid Republican National Convention. Kasich becomes GOP establishment's hope. When you as an individual face a group of enemies, your nerves must be steel.
I really wanted to eat Big Breakfast with Hotcakes plus a large coffee, so stopped by McDonald's first, then went to gym to work out. I did completely finish a weekday routine, yes, weekday rather than weekend, which meant I need to catch up more.

Not having eaten much for lunch, I went back to bedroom to witness Trump's rally in a small town. He was surrounded by Secret Service Agents like in a scene of a movie. Safety has become a big issue for his campaign and Rubio earlier had implied that someone could be killed in the process of 2016 election. Yesterday, Trump was almost attacked at his rally in Dayton.
Then came the windstorm to have the power cutoff and I stayed in bed for several hours until 6:00pm. Suddenly, I felt life was so boring.
As I had written, I had replaced old modem with new one while watching the replay of Democratic Town Hall. Stopping Trump was one of the main concerns and cost of health insurance was another one.

Wow, it's almost the end of this weekend, but I still haven't written the diary for yesterday. The windstorm had the power cut off the entire afternoon and I have spent the whole night to replace the old modem and router with the new Wi-Fi Gateway provided by Comcast. It looks much more clean in this area now. I will replace the main set box tomorrow. Yes, I am tired.
I started watching Sounders challenging Real Salt Lake after lunch. Alonso scored first for Sounders but we eventually lost 1 to 2. It's a bad start and the whole team may need to synchronize in the entire 1st half of the season.
I had followed the reports about Trump's cancellation of his rally at UIC Pavilion in the morning yesterday without watching 6th round of FA Cup. After Sounders' match, I kept following the most current updates of the rallies in midwest. However, I decided to go to gym to work out around 4:00pm.
On my way home, the rain fell down pretty harshly, amazingly, it was under bright sunshine.
Coming back to my bedroom, I looked out of the window and realized that it's no rain at all in our neighborhood. The sunset was beautiful.
Reporters at CNN probably felt too much live politics too, so documentaries for the political histories were presented the entire night. I even forgot what I did during those several hours, might fall into sleep...
My son called me almost at the end of my working day in the office to ask me what time I would pick him up at his dorm on next Thursday. He also told me that he wouldn't be able to make a girlfriend any time soon because he hadn't found any possible target to pursue. I asked him to focus on final exams to be taken next week.
After getting into my van in the parking lot, I called my son to check if he was distracted by looking for a girlfriend right before the final exams. He seemed fine. He bragged to me that many classmates were misled by his great expressions of a lot of ideas of Statistics during the discussions to consider him being excellent on the subject. However, he knew that he was only an average student in this class. Yes, he is very good at talking, which may not be necessarily bad. I told him to make a girlfriend depending on two scenarios: If he is trying to find one within frequent contacts, for example, the students he frequently interacts on campus, he must make friends proactively, then find out if the target is available, finally assess if the target likes him before the pursuit. After doing all of these, even he is rejected, it won't be an embarrassment to hurt the friendship; In another scenario, if he is desperately impressed by a girl on the street or any public places, he should make the contact as soon as possible, then express his passions as clearly as he can because he will lose the opportunity pretty quickly. He actually liked a girl at his high school and still keeps good communications with her though he never had a chance to date her. I think he manages it very well. Yes, he is a rational kid. I advised him no need to predefine on his mind the type of the girl he wants to pursue. However, just like I shared with him, I don't blame him to pursue a beautiful woman because he himself is a handsome man and an average student academically at a good college. This is my son's photo I snapped for him in last July and I put it on my desk at work. He isn't as athletic as I was at this age but he has even better potential athletic capabilities. I asked him to work out more.
Coming back home, I was asked by my parents what was going on in Chicago. They were watching CNN but couldn't understand English. The scene reminded me a Trump's rally scheduled at UIC Pavilion I had learned on my Facebook page several days ago. The protesters had Trump eventually cancelling the rally, which irritated me so much especially after noticing the parking garage where I parked my camry almost every school day when I pursued my MBA on this campus in late 90s. It's a great memory and I got a very valuable degree, which has benefited me for 17 years. The passion I have in the city of Chicago is dominantly because of UIC. It's why I always label myself a UIC alumni everybody can see on the road.

This car carried me from Seattle to Chicago. During the school breaks, it also took us to Key West, Galveston, Toronto, New England.

It's right on midnight again but I had got up half an hour ago, this is the difference from last night. No, I haven't had any particular scene flashed on my mind either. Wait, I did have the crowds on Broadway popped in front of my eyes several times. Though my son wants to stay at home this summer because he may take a course in summer quarter to catch total credits up to 90, I was thinking earlier to fly to NYC to stay on Broadway for several days, then I would go watching shows every night.
I did start pretty early but not as early at 3 am as a co-worker teased. Coming back home around 4pm, I noticed a big box at the door. New digital box was delivered from Comcast to have our old one replaced, I assume two more coming. However, my parents are watching a Chinese TV series through their outdated Kylin 1.0 box, so I won't reconfigure our whole entertainment system until they finish because the new wireless modem sent from Comcast yesterday may be too advanced to have the old Kylin box hooked. My parents were not able to find the TV Series through the new Kylin 2.0 box, so I haven't hooked it up either. However, the best way to having all of these issues resolved may be to call Kylin customer service to get their help. Ok, I may start early tomorrow morning again, then come back home to call them within their business hours.
GOP debate was held on CNN tonight. It seemed going through more civilized though I fell into sleep the most of the time. If Rubio can't win Florida, he will be out for sure. Whoever can push Chinese government to perform the settlement for my demolished property in 北京朝阳区崔各庄 will be my next president. If someone can act as he has advocated during the campaign, I will be able to bring more money home. I heard Trump or someone else said immigrants with skills, knowledge, educations and investment being welcome. In the past almost 20 years, I have contributed all of these to this country.
My portfolio dropped another 5% mainly driven by Twitter. I don't really care. As I said, if I can get that compensation, I will put half of them into my portfolio focusing on long-term Options. I had three wishes in addition to becoming an astronaut when I was a teen and actually had realized all but two of them were lost. I am confident Markets will help me get one back within three years. If I can't get the full amount of the settlement, Markets will still help me do it in 10 years, so I am really relaxed. This clip is so amazing.
It's midnight, I just got up. On my mind, several memorable scenes have been flashed: filled up Champs-Elysees; breeze kissed Kungstradgarden; crazy girls and boys at JJ; excited fans at Broadway. Yes, midnight in mid summer is always fantastic, especially when you are young. At the opposite, I am anxiously waiting for the other extreme. I know it will be totally different but I will reach the destination then.
Clinton and Sanders faced off at THE "U" where I learnt what American Football was the first time in my life. CNN worked with Univision to have the debate targeting Latino voters, so a lot of attentions were paid to the issues of immigration. At certain point of time two weeks ago, Sanders seemed fading. Since winning several Caucuses last week, he obviously came back. As he cheered, winning Michigan was probably one of the biggest upsets in nomination history.
Markets were up slightly but my GTZ portfolio dropped by 6%. I guess several hedge funds targeting it to slam the door in my face. Price of Zillow had been recovered in the last several weeks, so profit-taking might be a factor; Election-related factor might drive Twitter down; Gopro was not too bad after big drop yesterday. The spotlight was Facebook gaining momentum again. Finding this clip on Youtube, I was wondering why Virtual Reality can't save Gopro as someone commented today. I am in Chile now.
Midweek passed, weekend is closer... I plan to start as early as possible in the morning...It is payday which will have me motivated at the highest level before the next one comes.
